Overview

Role: Senior/Principal Systems Engineers (Defence/Aviation) Type: Permanent Location: Bristol (or Farnborough) Package: £55-65k excellent company benefits and flexible working An exciting time to join a globally recognised multidisciplinary consultancy with over 30,000 staff and operations in over 30 countries, with a track record in delivering high profile complex projects across numerous industries including; aerospace, defence, nuclear, rail, infrastructure, water, oil & gas. This role will be based in the Aerospace & Defence business unit and due to recent project wins, they are expanding and recruiting heavily across various disciplines, including in the systems teams, where they are looking for systems engineers at all levels to join their expert teams who specialise in providing systems engineering support across air, land, maritime, nuclear and information industries, delivering projects for a range of clients. Key skills / experience required: Degree qualified in a relevant field i.e.; Maths, Science, Software, Systems, Engineering. Ideally professionally recognised within an institution i.e.; CEng. A minimum of 5 years' experience in any of these areas: Working in complex systems from digital, communications, sensors, platforms to software and advanced technology integration. Applying Systems Engineering processes (e.g. ISO15288:2015) across the full project lifecycle. Experience in the use of modelling languages e.g. ArchiMate, SysML, UML. Managing projects and teams. Understanding of different tools and techniques applied to engineering to capture requirements and develop solution designs e.g. Model Based Systems Engineering. Understanding of engineering within the MOD's procurement framework, Acquisition System Guidance (ASG). Strong interpersonal skills and able to build trusted relationships. Ability to understand, simplify and explain subject matter to non-engineers and senior stakeholders. Package / benefits: £55-65k basic salary (not this is negotiable depending on experience level).
