Herts Good Care is a non-profit company, supporting adult care providers across Hertfordshire to fill their permanent positions. We are currently working with Burleigh House to find a Care Practitioner to join their team. Job Shift: Days and Evenings Location: Baldock Type of Provider: Care Home (Residential) Assisting older adults living with Dementia Salary: £8.75 Per Hour Hours of Work: 8am-2pm or 2pm-8pm or 8am-8pm Driving Required: No Contract Type: Full Time Contract About the company Based in Baldock, Hertfordshire, we are an "award winning" residential home which specialises in dementia care. To carry out a range of duties within the day to day programme of care for the elderly, including the following. Personal Care of the Residents. To assist the residents in rising from bed, washing, dressing, bathing and general personal hygiene. To assist washing and toileting residents including: hair washing and shaving of male residents. Complete daily records and various charts and needed. To observe physical well-being and reporting any significant changes in resident’s well-being to the Person in charge. To attend to sick residents and perform such tasks as may be required e.g. serving meals on a tray, washing and combing hair, toileting, bathing and attending to other aspects of hygiene as necessary To manual handling of residents with use of equipment provided. To assist residents when required in retiring to bed. To help to prepare and serve meals to the residents, and assisting more dependent residents to eat when necessary e.g. cutting up food, or by feeding him/her. To lay tables and trays, clear and tidy dining rooms. Assist in washing up if required. What makes the perfect Care Practitioner? Experience working within a Care residential setting.
