Laboratory Manager

EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY: My client needs a Laboratory Manager with strong people management skills who is looking for their next challenge. This will involve the further development of a testing laboratory facility serving a range of internal and external customers in the pharmaceutical and medical devices sector. THE ROLE: This varied and challenging role will involve: - Day to day operational management of the lab. - Training, development and management of laboratory staff to ensure the needs of the business are met. - Maintaining key KPI's to provide exceptional customer service. - Implementing improved processes and procedures to meet current operational, QA (ISO17025) and regulatory standards. - Maintaining audit-readiness as the key point of contact for technical and regulatory queries. - Budget setting and management, customer quoting and invoicing. - Managing lab equipment, materials and facilities effectively. - Continually seeking to improve processes and lab operation to increase capability. TO APPLY: To apply for this role you should have: - Strong people management and team leadership skills in a laboratory environment. - A science based degree. - Experience of the pharmaceutical / medical device industry and associated regulations. - Practical current knowledge of relevant lab health and safety practices. QA awareness (ISO17025) and able to work closely with related functions. - Ability to demonstrate how you have developed and improved lab processes / procedures / operations. - Strong organisation skills, IT capability and problem solving skills. - Great communication skills including written.
