IT Support Technician Are you a Desktop and Network Support Technician looking for a new challenge with a growing company? Are you a team player who can provide first line windows support to an engineering team based from offices in Cambridge and Hertfordshire? Your New Role Our client is a privately-owned engineering specialist with offices both in the UK and internationally. Due to a strong workload, repeat business and an ever-increasing team, they are now looking for a Windows Desktop and Network Technician to help provide first line support. Based from their Cambridgeshire office, you will provide windows desktop and laptop support to a team of over 40 UK staff, working alongside their IT Manager. You may also be involved in remote support to their international staff based in America as your career develops. This is an exciting opportunity for an IT Technician or Engineer with strong Microsoft Office, Networking Infrastructure and Windows support skills. The business is a specialist engineering company who work on a range of high-profile projects, offering bespoke technical solutions to their clients. As market leaders in innovation in their field, they like to recruit people with an interest in problem solving and engineering projects. We are particularly interested in self-motivated people with skills and experience in 1st/2nd line IT windows support, network infrastructure, computer hardware assembly and repair. Experience in Linux, database management and Python are also desirable. You must be based locally to Cambridge and be willing to travel to Hertfordshire when required to resolve IT support needs that can’t be fixed remotely. A full UK driving licence is therefore essential.
