Overview

Sopra Banking Software is recruiting for an experienced Senior PMO Analyst to provide internal support to ongoing business activities and product improvement initiatives undertaken within the Research and Development and the Professional Services teams. The Senior PMO Analyst role has a strong administrative element to it with an emphasis on building relationships with the key stakeholders of the business. The Programme Management Office is the information hub for projects and programmes within the portfolio and involves tracking/reporting, assurance/quality control, information management, financial tracking, risk/issue tracking, change control, support and knowledge management/learning from experience. The Programme Management Office will add value through the knowledge, skills and experience of its staff. The role of Senior PMO Analyst is to support the PMO Team including: · Tracking status of programme deliverables and milestones; · Supporting the adoption of the project lifecycle and deliverables; · Programme level risk and issue co-ordination; · Monitoring the status of projects transitioning into normal service; · Coordination of the regular project and programme level reporting cycles; · Co-ordination of project Governance arrangements, Post Project Reviews, Programme level workshops. · Assisting in the creation of commercial documentation · Tracking of actuals vs forecast and spend against budgets · Raising of invoices based on actuals · Capturing and then tracking actions from the various, PMO owned, project meetings · Preparation of materials for internal project meetings The successful Senior PMO Analyst will portray the following key skills: · Attention to detail. · A good to strong management information (MI) background. · Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and with clear documentation) · Working with Microsoft Office toolset with an emphasis on MS Excel (Visual Basic/Macro skills desirable but not essential). · Working with a team that includes a number of part time members of staff so team-working and the flexibility to pick-up and handover tasks based on availability is important. · Understanding of commercial process i.e. creating, raising and tracking invoices · Forecasting and tracking of actuals · Ability to prioritise workload · Positive, “can do” attitude · Strong understanding of a standard project lifecycle It would be beneficial but not essential for the candidate to have: · Some knowledge of Software Development processes would be beneficial · An understanding of the UK Financial Services sector.
