Technical Support Manager / Team Leader £35000 - £40000 SL7, Marlow Our client provides hosted desktop solutions to SMEs from a virtual server platform, Office 365 as well as providing technical support for on-site servers and workstations. The Job They are working with us here at Better People Ltd, to source an experienced Team Leader/Manager to lead, manage and motivate a small technical support team, solving IT problems for existing customers and working on implementations for new clients. This role offers lots of opportunity for progression as this is a growing business in a fast moving sector. It is envidaged that the team will double in the next 18 months. You will have 3 people reporting to you and you will be the point of escalation for the team. Client relationships will be a big part of your responsibility. As well as this, you will be expected to be "hands on" and being part of the support aspect, helping out with basic PC and networking issues. Occasional site visits will be required but the majority of the work is in their offices in Marlow. Ideal Candidates for this role Will have worked as a Team Leader/Manager in the past. Will have impressive technical skills with knowledge of desktop solutions Will have impressive personal accountability and be able to demonstrate that they can take responsibility. Will have experience of working with a wide range of solutions and systems (See list below) Will be a great communicator and inspiring leader Will be able to contribute to and take responsibility for strategic improvements in the business Open to learning new products and solutions Flexible can-do attitude and willing to muck in Will have own car to be used for occasional site visits. Used to working to deadlines and to making things happen. Will be happy to lead a team that will grow as the business wins more and more clients Technical Skills are required in the follow areas, which are listed in order of priority: You will need strong technical skills encompassing the following, which are listed in order of priority: Azure Office 365 Windows Server Management, Active Directory, database management, group policy, security, user and group management RDS / Terminal Services. Windows 10 desktop PowerShell Network & Firewall Linux Mac desktop You will need previous experience of project management and leading a small technical team. Part of the role is to contribute to the processes and procedures for the Company and we want to develop this role into a Senior Management position.
