Overview
IBP are currently looking to recruit a Network Operation Centre Engineer to be based from the Network Operation Centre in Cambridgeshire. The successful NOC Engineer candidate will be required to work on a shift rota basis. The NOC is the hub of the company organisation and is where 'all the action happens'. The business operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and provide first class support to a number of industry leading telecommunication organisations across the UK. As a NOC Engineer you will be responsible for: Managing customers networks remotely across a range of different technologies Successfully carrying out initial diagnosis on faults and escalating issues to 2nd and 3rd line support as required Prioritising faults to meet SLA's Arranging and coordinating access as required for engineers Monitoring, diagnosing and managing all network faults in a timely manner to ensure time to repair targets are met All customer interaction regarding fault identification from recording the fault, dispatching an engineer and resolution management Ensuring customer requirements are managed successfully through the internal processes and systems (Salesforce) Working collaboratively with other departments to capitalise the end to end service capability Providing ad hoc reports as required to senior members of the team Skills and experience required for this role: Experience of providing support on a range of technologies, including PDH, SDH, DWDM and Ethernet/IP Previous experience of working in a Network Operations Centre and using a ticket management system Comfortable working 24/7 shift patterns - including bank holidays and night work Excellent communication skills Good written and verbal skills Outstanding confidence, initiative and organisational skills Highly proficient in the use of MS Office - specifically Excel and Outlook Good problem solving skills This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89713951
