Overview

Procurement Coordinator Dartford Full time Competitive My client is currently recruiting for a Procurement Coordinator to be based at our Dartford Head Office. They are a leading banana ripening and service provision supplier in the UK market with two ripening facilities strategically placed in the north and south of the country. They we are committed to a strong and consistent CSR policy with over 18,000 employees, producing over 460,000 tonnes of fruit and vegetables, distributing over 673,000 tonnes of bananas and selling to over 45 countries globally. Key responsibilities: Plan and schedule weekly loadings in line with customers demand and company contracted volumes. Effective communication with shipping lines including regular forecasts, availability confirmations and timely deliveries. Liaise closely with ripening facilities, ports and 3rd party service providers to ensure continuity of supply in terms of volume, specifications and product shelf life. Active contributions to daily and weekly planning meetings. Liaise with Account Managers and Technical Team with regards to customer product launches, promotions, trials or de-lists. Produce, communicate and finalize growers and shippers’ claims within specified deadlines processing all associated invoices and credits Regular reviews of service levels to ensure best practice from growers and service providers (produce Scorecards, KPIs, challenge wrong behaviour) Maintain and update all data as required in planning files, schedules and systems. Through an excellent understanding of the supply chain continually challenge processes to enhance levels of performance and facilitate the achievement of company targets. Demonstrate good judgement, teamwork and responsibility in all company matters, ensuring that behaviour reflects the company core values and culture Essential criteria: Previous experience working within a procurement / supply chain / planning role Professional attitude with a keen eye for detail Ability to prioritise workloads and work to tight deadlines Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint Ability to perform calmly and competently in a dynamic and pressurised environment Problem solving skills Shift: 37.5 hours a week / competitive pay Excellent pension scheme Life assurance Free parking Free staff events Excellent training opportunities Interpersonnel are operating as an Employment Agency for our client for this particular role.
