Storage Infrastructure Engineer - Public Transport - 3 months - £450 per day THIS POSITION IS OUTSIDE IR35 Your new company One of the largest Public Transport Organisations in the UK Your new role Storage Infrastructure Engineer What you'll need to succeed My client is looking for an Storage Infrastructure Engineer to join the organisation on an initial 3 month contract. The role is based on site and candidates are required to travel to East London. You will be accountable for the technical ownership of the Storage Infrastructure including: management, investigation and resolution of Incidents of the supported services in order to maximise system availability for critical business services in accordance with the agreed service levels. Ensure Storage systems are highly available, and implementations are fit for purpose. Knowledge - Technical Essential Extensive knowledge of Enterprise Storage technologies for block and file and its implementation in complex enterprise sized environments. (Preferably Dell/EMC products ): VNX VMax Isilon Unity Avamar/ Data domains ( IDPA - Integrated Data Protection Appliance ) HP 3PAR VXRAIL Desirable Knowledge of Azure/AWS Cloud - especially in relation to the storage backup environments. vSan VMware Experience - Technical Essential Experience of implementing, upgrading, migrating, maintaining and decommissioning Storage technologies in enterprise environments. Experience - General Has worked within the industry in a role reporting to manager level and working with business managers to enable business benefit through service delivery. Recent experience in the latest techniques and methodologies in delivering quality solutions. Proven experience of developing a customer-focused service culture. Skills Strong planning and organisation skills - Self organised. Skilled at solving and communicating problems, applying knowledge and technology to the full. Strong analytical skills. Communicates all needs, instructions and decisions clearly. Adapts the style of communication to meet the needs of the audience. Checks for understanding; and Proficient in risk management methods and techniques for the assessment and management of business risk.
