Accountant

eSift are currently looking for an experienced Accountant who is able to provide analysis support and key reconciliation of controls in respect of our client’s business. Our client is the leading global integrated security company, specialising in the provision of security products, services and solutions. Location: Tewkesbury (GL20) Salary: £28-33k per annum plus study support This is an exciting opportunity to support the smooth operation, input and accurate maintenance of the General Ledger relating to one specific contract within our client’s business and to be actively involved in the refining of procedures and preparation of budgets and forecasts. Within this role, you will assist in the production of monthly accounts, preparation of month end reports, monthly recognition of GL accounts, preparation and posting of journals and supporting the business in cash management (analysis of overdue debt). You will also be responsible for maintaining schedules for the calculation of prepayments and accruals as well as the details of contracts, gains and losses. Another key factor is assisting in budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation and checking of inventory postings as well as providing accounting analysis. Our ideal candidate will have/be; Significant experience in an accounting role Part qualified with one of the recognised accounting bodies (CIMA/AACA) as a minimum Accurate and methodical Proactive and responsible The ability to adhere to agreed procedures, but be able to demonstrate initiative IT literate with good Microsoft Excel skills.
