Backend Software Engineer

Backend Software Engineer My client is looking for a backend software engineer joining the founding team in a renewable startup in Oxford. This role would be ideal for someone skilled in Python, Django, SQL, Git and AWS. My client is looking for an exciting person with an interest in deploying and learning new technologies. The Role The main focus of the role is aiding the designing and development of the core service based on a cloud infrastructure. The focus is architecting and implementing this feature as well as their application and data model for battery storage data. Ideally someone will have focus working on SaaS (Software as a Service) operations and applications, comfortable working in a fast-paced innovative environment with a positive attitude. Essential Skills A degree in Computer Science or a relevant field Commercial experience in Python (Any object orientated language) Experience with an Open Source Framework such as Django Experience querying, designing and managing databases in SQL Experience working on a cloud-based infrastructure on AWS Desired Skills Working with real-time data management, orchestration and transformation approaches Experience working in development, production and orientation environments Commercial experience with testing, production and development Any working experience with IoT Technologies and Data Security The Company The role is based in Oxford with the possibility for remote working up to 2 days a week.
