Our Client's Supply Chain organisation is building a best-in-class, Global Strategic Sourcing Centre of Excellence based in Dublin. As a Category Sourcing Expert, you will be part of a team that will control and manage one of the largest annual technology spends in the world. Responsibilities The Category Sourcing Expert (CSE) plays a lead role supporting the Client's cost savings and revenue generation business goals through the sourcing process. Our client is seeking a professional with experience in Sourcing, supplier negotiations, and data gathering to perform Strategic Sourcing activities supporting the Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) Resale category. The CSE works independently, managing multiple time-sensitive client projects. The CSE will work with a virtual stakeholder team that works across multiple countries. Roles & Responsibilities: Advises and guides internal business partners through the end-to-end process to procure products and services that achieve the internal business partners' intended outcomes around customer experience, profitability while meeting agreed deadlines. Drives all aspects of complex strategic sourcing including RFP's, direct contract negotiation processes and leads negotiations of business and pricing terms Perform ongoing supplier management to ensure contract terms, conditions and performance management compliance. Maximize the Client's purchasing power to achieve a lower cost while mitigating risk Develop strategies and support development of requirements for use in obtaining competitive business and pricing alternatives from suppliers Champions, develops, manages, and drives key relationships that are critical to the success of sourcing projects Apply critical thinking skills and work independently to make sound business decisions on behalf of the company Ability to solve complex problems to ensure business and financial issues result in sound decisions Works with clients to resolve supplier related business issues Stays current with industry trends, and becomes a Trusted Advisor to our clients. Presents new products, technologies and services from existing or new suppliers to clients Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent experience Credentials from Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), International Association for Contract & Commercial Management (IACCM) or Irish Institute of Purchasing & Materials Management (IIPMM) Skills and competencies Proven track record in Strategic Sourcing, ideally in technology areas such as Network Equipment resale and Software resale - being able to demonstrate personal activity and results Proven track record in the Resale and Partner environment Strong Presentation skills. Be able to present to Senior management. Contracting experience - drafting, negotiating and execution Ability to solve complex problems to ensure business and financial issues result in sound decisions Strong Project Management and Leadership in a virtual team environment across multiple geographies Strong interpersonal and client service skills - ability to negotiate and maintain networking relationships. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications (including PowerPoint, Excel and Word) Proficiency in SAP an advantage Randstad encourage applications from individuals of all ages & backgrounds.
