Overview

A leading IT/Software company in Leeds is looking for an ambitious individual to join their expanding team. Initially on a temporary basis with a strong possibility of permanent after the initial term. You will be taking the role of Accounts Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk reporting directly to the Financial Controller and Accounts Manager. You would be working in a fantastic accounts team reporting to the Purchase Ledger Manager and you will be responsible for tasks including: Liaising with a variety of businesses across sectors including retail and IT consultancies. First point of contact for any queries relating to the invoicing accounts procedure and paying outstanding moneys. Checking and creating customer collection reports. Raising and setting up payment runs. Importing invoices onto business system. Reconciling payments and invoices. Accurately maintaining the finance spreadsheet. Ideally you will have previous experience in either purchase ledger/accounts assistant roles. You will also be able to demonstrate self-efficiency, excellent knowledge of Excel, Outlook and Word. You will also have the desire to progress your career within accounts as the position could be considered on a permanent basis for the right individual.
