We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Member to join the team at YHA Youlgreave, located in the beautiful Peak District 5 miles south of Bakewell. You will join us on a flexi-contract, working between 25 – 42.5 hours per week. This is a seasonal contract to the end of August 2020. YHA is a charity. We work with 500,000 children and young people a year through stays in our 150 hostels; adventure in our activity centres and through our leading work in volunteering, traineeships, apprenticeships and youth employment. We have a thriving schools programme and work with partners to support access for those children and families who have challenging lives. What will you be doing as a YHA Team Member? You’ll cover a wide range of customer facing duties across the hostel, delivering an excellent service to all guests and visitors, giving them a great experience of YHA. Your day may range from working on reception, providing information on the hostel and local area, to carrying out cleaning and housekeeping duties, to working in the kitchen and serving food and drinks. It’s important to note that the Team Member role can be physically demanding; you’ll be standing for extended periods of time, required to make bunk beds and clean guest accommodation to a high standard. Soon we will add an artisan bakery, café and bike hire business to our hostel. We will also lead bike rides and walks. So, if any of these are an interest of yours then please get in touch.
