Overview
Job Title: Surgery Technician Reporting to: Surgery Manager Hours: 40 Hours, occasionally evenings and week-ends Summary of Role An exciting opportunity to work within a newly established team delivering an exceptional patient experience within various clinical settings throughout the UK. The Farjo Hair Institute is a research and education centre, exploring and developing new hair transplant techniques, innovative surgical procedures and other potential future treatments. Our founders, Dr Bessam Farjo and Dr Nilofer Farjo, have carefully built a highly qualified, highly experienced team. This is a unique opportunity to join our team, receive full training and the opportunity of working at both our Manchester and London clinics. Specific Responsibilities Preparation of operating theatre and surgical trolleys Assist Surgery Management Team as instructed Assist Hair Transplant surgeons using trained techniques Monitoring of surgical supplies within various settings to maintain continuity of standards. Adhere to and enforce the Farjo Infection Control Policy Fulfilling all criteria under the Care Quality Commission and Health and Safety Regulations Perform administrative duties relating to patients Comply with the Farjo Employee Handbook and HR policies Continually develop your own knowledge and skill Attending seminars and conferences when required Work towards specific targets, KPI and deadlines set to you by the management team. Work in partnership with the Surgery Management team, and Central Services in order to continually improve the patient journey NB. Person Specification We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident, and reliable team player with the ability to provide an exceptional level of patient care within a fast paced and developing industry. You are experienced in working with others for a desired outcome and place patient satisfaction as a priority. Education Essential: A minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent (including English and Maths) Desirable: From a medical or laboratory, nursing assistant, dental or social care background. Skills Outstanding Communication Skills, both written and verbal Good Patient Care skills Good Organisation and Planning Skills Competent with MS Office and Outlook Detail oriented Working with others Experience You may already have experience within the hair transplant industry and be either a science graduate or from a healthcare/ social care or beauty background, however, this is not essential as full training will be given.
