Overview

Academics are recruiting on behalf of an outstanding, small independent school in Southampton which caters for girls aged 9-18 with severe or complex behavioural, emotional, social or mental health difficulties. They are looking to take on a full-time Learning Support Assistant to start when the schools re-open on a temporary to permanent basis so please only apply if you are looking for a long term or permanent position. You must be able to drive to be considered for this position. Your main duties will be to: Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans / Behaviour Support Plans / Personal Education Plans and other programmes to respond to current and future needs of the students Establish constructive relationships with students, acting as a role model, and interact with them according to individual needs Encourage students to interact with others and engage in activities led by the subject leader Provide feedback to the students in relation to progress and achievement under the guidance of the subject leader Attend to the students' personal needs; implement related personal programmes, including social health, physical hygiene and welfare matters Social health, physical hygiene and welfare matters produce written reports/notes as directed on individual student progress for the subject leader Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students produce written reports/notes, as directed on individual student progress for the subject leader. Working hours are Monday 8am-5pm, Tues-Thurs 8am-4.30pm and 8am-4pm on Fridays, term time only.
