This National Business is seeking a European Road Freight Operator to join their successful and growing business. Job Description: As one of the leading European Logistics providers, our client has a large and extensive network of partners and provide a very high standard level of service using the latest technology and an open and honest relationship. The European Road Freight Operator will join a team handling groupage trailers to various European destinations. To operate and control European Export services Develop key service relationships with customers and overseas agents and suppliers Provide detailed costings and quotations for customers, comparing tariffs and ensuring the cost-effective production of documentation for client perusal Ensure the delivery and or collection of goods across Europe Book appropriate transport to meet requirements of goods to be transported Provide complete manifests or delivery notes for use by Transport and Warehouse staff as required Comply with EU and UK regulations and requirements regarding export / import documentation Ensure that geographic knowledge is updated frequently to enable efficient and effective use of transport Candidate Requirements: Proven experience within freight forwarding trailer operations - a minimum of 2 years' experience is required Experience of pricing for products / services The successful candidate must be able to evidence accuracy and attention to detail Knowledge of factors affecting movement of freight Able to use systems to input bookings, quotations, manifests and other information as required The candidate must be able to analyse information and produce reports Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week) Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 Per Annum DOE (departmental bonus structure) Brampton Recruitment are an independent Commercial and Accounts & Finance recruitment agency working in partnership with employers spanning Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, Cheshire, and the Greater Manchester region.
