Chilled Warehouse Picker /Packer - 4am-12pm - Chelmsford, Essex - £9.00 p/h to £10.54 p/h - Temp to Perm Contract We are urgently recruiting a number of warehouse order pickers to work the early day shift at the Regional Distribution Centre of our major client based in Chelmsford, Essex working a 5 on 3 off rota. This is a physically demanding role and duties will include: Working in the cold environment Order picking using a voice activated system Picking items weighing up to 15kg Driving a powered pallet truck (full training and licence will be obtained on day 1) Keeping warehouse clean and tidy Working the 5 on 3 off rota will mean you MUST be available to work weekends and hours of work will be from 4am to finish and the shift usually runs at 7 hours at a time. You must be flexible to work longer hours if needed. As the right candidate for this role you will: Have your own transport or live locally Be reliable and hard working Be flexible with working hours and happy to work weekends Have good communication skills This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation who will reward your hard work with a permanent contract after a 12 week temporary period. Automatically your hourly rate will increase to £10.54 per hour after this 12 weeks and this will then increase to £11.86 per hour during year 2.
