Software Engineer / Developer – Text Mining / Text Analytics / Natural Language Processing (NLP) Are you a Ph.D. level Mathematician / Physicist / Computer Scientist who is looking to work within text analytics for a division of a well-recognised software provider? This internationally renowned software house is continuing their year-on-year growth, and now have another opening for a Software Engineer / Developer to join their team in Cambridge to work on advanced text mining / text analytics technology. Location: Cambridge Salary: Negotiable DOE, £50k for a straight Ph.D. comprehensive benefits Requirements for Software Engineer / Developer – Text Mining / Text Analytics / Natural Language Processing (NLP) Ph.D. in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering or similar Academic excellence throughout Experience with Text Mining / Text Analytics workflows Knowledge with a range of NLP tools Good logical reasoning and critical thinking skills Programming experience in C/C++ or another object-oriented language such as Java or C# Strong scientific programming knowledge in Python, MATLAB, R etc Any experience in machine learning or deep learning beneficial. Responsibilities for Software Engineer / Developer – Text Mining / Text Analytics / Natural Language Processing (NLP) Working within an Agile environment you will write excellent, clean, maintainable code to develop and improve a range of text analytics features and associated architecture. You will be expected to contribute and evaluate new ideas, as well as work with customer feedback to improve products. You will be solving a range of interesting problems daily, to ensure the successful development from design through to delivery.
