Overview
Senior/Principal Highway Engineer vacancies Our client, an engineering, environment and design consultancy, are looking for Senior and Principal Highway Engineers to join their team based in Solihull. For these roles you would be degree qualified and have significant experience in a similar highways role within a consultancy. For the Principal role, ideally you would be chartered or working towards. Your daily responsibilities will include producing design calculations, drawings and technical reports for internal, external and client project teams. You would prepare survey drawings and specifications for survey work and review/analyse outputs. You would also undertake highway geometric design, prepare budgets and contribute to design coordination meetings with clients. As a Senior Engineer you would: ·Lead the conceptual, preliminary and detailed design of highway works ·Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues in a team environment ·Liaise with our clients and contractors and supervise works on site when required ·Collaborate with the wider project team and other civil engineering disciplines ·Recognise, interact with and resolve issues with other disciplines to support holistic packages ·Manage outputs from technicians and junior staff ·Have experience of 3D modelling using appropriate software ·Develop the team around you As a Principal Engineer you would: ·Be highly technically competent ·Have a proven ability in the leadership, motivation and development of individuals and teams ·Develop appropriate solutions to solve clients' problems ·Manage relationships with individual client contacts to maximise opportunities across the business whilst providing a high service level on the individual project, resulting in excellent client feedback ·Pro actively market with customers and utilise potential opportunities with new and existing clients to develop the business ·Have a broad perspective to enable the identification of innovative solutions.
