Tooling Design Engineer
Overview
Morson International currently have an opportunity for an experienced Tooling Design Engineer to work for one of our prestigious Aerospace clients in Yeovil, Somerset. This is an ongoing contract position to work within the Central Tooling department. You will advance and develop tooling engineering design techniques to continuously improve tooling solutions and options available to support tooling requirements. Key accountabilities: Investigate, advise, define and manage the provision of tooling or tooling services to facilitate the manufacture, assembly, maintenance and testing of aircraft product s as required Create conceptual schemes and fully detailed tooling and test equipment designs, which consider customer timescales, budgets, manufacturing capabilities, and interchangeability requirements Interface with external suppliers and manufacturers of tooling and test equipment, negotiating and agreeing clear matching expectations on technical work content and lead time, driving on time, correct specification and tooling delivery.
