About the job role The role of the bottom deck FLT is to load and unload the lorries with IBCs. It is crucial that the planner is continually checked throughout the day and stick to it to ensure that the correct deliveries and loads are completed as required.It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure the Radio and Tablet are fully charged and ready for use the next day. Before offloading the bottom deck stacker will carry out a visual inspection of the IBC’s on the vehicle identifying any that contain excessive residues and report these to the office. Visuals need to be filled in correctly for each and every load and handed into the office on completion. When tanks are offloaded, they must be clearly segregated – Easy wash, hard wash or scrap and by pallet type.With agreement from the office or management IBC’s containing excessive product can be labelled with a correctly completed RED blocked sticker and placed in the RED Zone. Dirty IBC’s are to be taken up to the top of the yard as quickly as possible. The bottom deck stacker will assist the top deck stacker to ensure - all dirty stock is segregated; Launders are kept together and Hazardous is separate from Non-Hazardous, ensuring all Hazardous IBC’s are segregated and in line with the site plan. All clean IBC stock leaving production, needs to be taken to the Bottom Deck, stacked neatly, in an organised manner, segregated by pallet type and in line with safety regulation and to site plan. Loading of all customer loads must only be carried out using the appropriate paperwork – loading specification. You must beware of any customer that are on RED ALERT and ensure the appropriate assistance is sort while loading the IBC’s. The Quality of the IBCs need to be monitored while loading and any / all issues reported to the office immediately. You will also carry out reversing assistance (Banksman) duties for every vehicle reversing on to site. Applicants · Must have at least 2 years stacker truck experience. · Must be able to work additional hours when needed - 6 am starts and weekend work. · Must have good communication skills. · Can follow process and procedures.
