Overview
Plant Manager North East Up to £50,000 Our client is a well-known and established manufacturer with strong roots in the region. Supplying to a multitude of sectors and industries, they are looking to appoint a new Plant Manager to oversee their site. Reporting directly to the Board, the Plant Manager requires a high level of experience within a busy, high volume manufacturing facility. They run a demanding schedule and the key considerations are to ensure the goods go out on time, to cost and achieve the quality framework. The role will cover multiple departments ranging from Manufacture, Quality and Assembly. The nature of their clients means the volumes and requirements can often change at a moment notice and demands a quick reaction to resolve problems and issues. Staff training and development in addition to stringent safety standards are a critical component to the success of the business and this role and you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining these expectations. The ideal candidate will come from a manufacturing background with a strong appreciation of the full production cycle. Exposure to a fast-moving Assembly site and/or a Precision engineering or Machine Shop style environment would be highly desirable but not essential. Applicants are warmly welcomed from the Automotive, FMCG and Heavy Industries. This role would suit a Senior Production or Manufacturing Manager looking for a larger site experience or an Operations Manager looking for a new challenge within the sector.
