Duty Solicitor

Experienced duty solicitor sought for a well established multi-office firm based in Ashton-Under-Lyne, Tameside. You will be joining a growing crime team with a real team ethos, where your role will be to manage your own caseload of criminal law matters (in the magistrates' court) from the Ashton-Under-Lyne office and will include travel to the courts across Greater Manchester, therefore, a full, clean driving license is essential. You will be providing a comprehensive service to Legal Aid clients and be committed to trial advocacy. In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop your own client base as well as have exposure to high profile, serious criminal matters. You must be a qualified criminal law solicitor/duty solicitor likely with at least 3 years' PQE and Duty Accreditation, plus the ability to handle out of hours police station rota work. You will have excellent client care skills and likely will be used to using a case management system. Salary is negotiable depending on experience and will include various benefits.
