Overview

Sellick Partnership are currently seeking a Childcare Lawyer for a Local Authority based in the West Midlands. This role will fall outside IR35 and can offer one day of homeworking. The successful Childcare Lawyer will be able to 'hit the ground running' and take on a full caseload consisting of public childcare cases without supervision: Handle a caseload of care proceedings Conduct advocacy as required Safeguarding matters Child Protection Orders Special Guardianship Fostering Legislation Adoption Law It is essential that candidates are qualified solicitors or equivalent and have a current practising certificate. This is a full-time role to begin immediately for an initial period of 6 months, although the position is likely to continue beyond that. This authority is well connected by public transport and is close to the courts although having access to a car would be advantageous.
