CAD Technician

This is a fantastic opportunity for a permanent, full-time CAD Technician / AutoCAD Technician to join a well-established, highly reputable family owned Surveying business and be part of their continued success. LOCATION: Gloucester based, you may be looking for CAD Technician / AutoCAD Technician / Surveyor Technician jobs in or around Gloucestershire, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Worcester, Stroud, Evesham, Hereford, Wychavon, Ross-on-Wye, Kidderminster, Warwick, Bristol area. Full UK driving licence and own transport needed for out of town location. SALARY: £22,000 - £32,000 (depending on experience) plus benefits, company bonuses, pension, free parking, flexible approach to working hours. HOURS: Full Time, Permanent Working as part of busy, cohesive team in a fast paced and at times pressured surveying environment, as CAD Technician you will be supporting the Senior Surveyors daily. The offices are set in a delightful, spacious, converted farm building on the outskirts of Gloucester and connected by the M5/M50. Your role will depend on your skill set. You may be predominantly office-based working on projects, large and small, producing 2D floor plans, sections and elevations of buildings along with the occasional 3D project that can involve BIM, massing and modelling, using AutoCAD and Revit. However, there will also be opportunities to gain exposure to innovative surveying methods, such as laser scanning, assisting with site visits with measured building surveys for various sectors, including: Shopping Centres, Schools, Commercial/ Residential Property, Private landowners, Heritage buildings, Airports… You will be proficient in Microsoft Office with solid 2D CAD / AutoCAD software skills. You will have a Degree or an equivalent qualification that taught the fundamentals of CAD Technology, possibly in a Surveying/ Architectural/ Engineering/ Construction related subject.
