Overview
If you are the kind of engineer who enjoys the challenge of meeting modern systems engineering challenges that will deliver innovative solutions for the future of nuclear fusion and renewable energy then we are interested in discussing the projects we have available to expand out current engineering team. You will aligned to Principal / Senior Systems Engineer competencies, educated to Masters’ Degree standard, with wide-ranging experience across the defence and nuclear domains. The role will introduce you to a varied and exciting array of research and scientific programmes so having an interest and background in this field would be preferable. As well as the technical skills you will be able to quickly build rapport with senior stakeholders and if you are interested in a lead function you will also be able to manage teams as you could be the main point of contact representing SA Group with our customers. The key professional competencies you will be able to demonstrate are the elicitation and management of User and System requirements, the implementation and execution of Systems Engineering methodology & processes throughout the system lifecycle cycle, the product on and presentation of validation and verification evidence, capability management, options analysis and balance of investment studies, you will be familiar with creating SEMP (Systems Engineering Management Plan) and RAMP (Requirements and Acceptance Management Plan) and you will be an accomplished communicator with the capabilities and gravitas to provide precise briefings and written work from strategic to delivery to detailed technical correspondence. To provide some further context the qualifications, skills and experience required are as follows: INCOSE CSEP qualified (or evidence of working towards) minimum; BSc in Systems Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience; CEng chartered or working towards chartered status; Credible and relevant experience in a Systems Engineering role; Strong understanding of the Systems Engineering life cycle and Systems Thinking; Experience of writing Systems Engineering Management Plan’s (SEMP) for large/complex systems; The ability to understand and manage associated risks; Civil Nuclear experience is desirable; Prior experience within Defence, Space or Rail industries is desirable.
