Role Work directly with the Software Development Team and Release management team, in testing of new features/functions and products in accordance with delivery timescales. Provide the scope, estimated effort, coverage and gaps analysis for new features and/or product development, and sprint cycles. Manage and plan on a day to day basis, the use of project assigned resources within the testing function. Work closely with the Release Management team, in ensuring quality gating is in place as part of the software release process. Participate and/or lead defect/issues scrub calls. Own and manage defects through a product/feature/sprint development cycle, ensuring that defects are traceable, correct, and are driven through to resolution. Lead technical investigations, applying creative problem-solving methods to resolve issues Take ownership and manage of test tools to augment testing processes. Own the delivery of a portfolio of work, that contributes to improving the test function. This includes the identification, ownership and implementation of new processes within the test function. Work closely with other test teams to manage software testing and delivery. Write, maintain and execute test cases where needed. Work closely with Product and Architecture teams, in defining and translating requirements into test cases. Play a leadership role in the recruitment and mentoring of resources within the test function. Skills Previous experience in testing of In-Home consumer products Internet protocol knowledge in the following areas. Transport layer TCP, UDP. Internet layer IPv4 IPv6 Application layer - DHCPv4, DHCPv6 Experience in testing Wi-Fi devices with knowledge of 802.11 and security protocols Use of Network debug applications such as Wireshark/TCPdump Understanding of the software and test development lifecycle Experience in working within an Agile environment.
