Pay: MPS Start Date: September 2020 We are looking for an enthusiastic qualified teacher who shares our ethos about early childhood development to work within our excellent team. This post is full time for a September 2020 start. We have a strong belief and ethos regarding early childhood development and pedagogy. We draw on the expertise of a range of educational pioneers including Reggio Emilia, Elizabeth Jarman, Anna Ephgrave and Julie Fisher. As a result, children and adults are confident, resilient, content, independent, inspired, self-motivated, life-long learners The Oaks Infant School can be found on the southern outskirts of Sittingbourne, Kent. We are a three-form entry school with 9 classes for 270 children in years R, 1 and 2 plus a wonderful Nursery. Attached to the school is The Acorn Centre, a specially resourced provision who cater for children with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) for Speech and Language needs. We have up to 12 children in this specialist unit who integrate into the main school for learning experiences. We are proud to be part of the Potential in Everyone Academy Trust which enables us to work in partnership with our receiver school Minterne Junior School as well as the village schools of Bredgar CEP School and Borden CEP School. During our most recent Ofsted visit (January 2016), it was noted that we had a very committed, enthusiastic and positive staff team. We are committed to Safeguarding and all appointments and visits will be made with safeguarding procedures as our key priority. All staff will be fully inducted, including Safeguarding training and will be subject to a full DBS check and collection of references before interview. The school is set in attractive grounds with many mature trees which attract an abundance of wildlife. We are able to use the school grounds to take learning out into the environment providing a broad and enriching experience for the children.
