Test Automation Lead Salary: Circa £31,500 per annum depending upon experience Permanent Location: Head Office The Society is looking to recruit a Test Automation Lead to be responsible for analysing WBBS automation requirements and working with project and IT teams to build, maintain and expand the automation capability and library of scripts. Key Responsibilities - Work with technical and project teams and test team colleagues to evaluate current and future test automation requirements. - Selecting appropriate test tools and working with test team, project and IT support teams to script and maintain test automation libraries. - Mentor and train team members in test automation scripting and execution as required. - Work closely with Architecture and IT technical teams to forecast automation requirements and improve capability and coverage. - Undertake continuous process improvements. - Work proactively with other team leads to suggest and design improvements and develop the WBBS testing team maturity and capability to TMMi 3 initially. - Ensure compliance with internal audit deliverables and milestones. - Resolve escalations from team leads . Skills & Attributes - Recognised testing qualification i.e. ISTQB. - Experience of working in an Agile and/or DevOps environment. - Extensive demonstrable experience of multi-tier test automation and test methodologies, tools and frameworks, for Agile/DevOps & waterfall test delivery. - Ability to serve as a role model and challenge others to develop. - Ability to understand and interpret business information and metrics. - Experience in test practice improvements – analysing efficiencies and metrics, devising training and progression plans. - Experience in assessing test tool suitability and supplier procurement, negotiation and engagement. - Experience of implementing and maintaining a Test Automation Framework and held a similar role previously - Good working knowledge of current automation tools (ideally including Selenium, Appium, Postman, Cucumber and/or UFT) and technologies, good technical ability and ideally be proficient at scripting in two or more of C#, Python, Javascript, SQL, Ruby and/or Perl. - Ideally mortgage or savings market experience - Good communicator at all levels - Excellent attention to detail What’s in it for you? - Performance related pay scheme - Generous annual leave starting at 25 days - Pension scheme - Life assurance - Corporate discounts Inspired by the Society’s Vision and Values, it’s not just what we do but how we treat our colleagues and customers that makes the people at the West Brom really stand out from our competitors.
