Site Chemist £18,000 - £24,000 Walsall With a entrepreneurial approach to the industry, this privately owned, highly ambitious and rapidly growing waste management organization is seeking a Site Chemist. Working within this fast paced environment you will provide a highly specialist service. You will be responsible for: Checking, labelling and completing associated paperwork within scope of the acceptance, storage and despatch of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes. Operate all laboratory processes in a safe and efficient manner Sample, compatibility test, batch and supervise bulking/stabilisation processing of waste materials. Maintain pre-acceptance records including the sample submission and enquiry status as required Maintain Waste Acceptance database and assist in stock control To ensure that all site activities are carried out in full compliance with the Company's S.H.E. policies and all Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and regulations. To be considered for this role you will: Hold a degree (1st) in a science-related qualification. This can include Chemistry, Forensic, Environment; Be keen to gain experience of the operation of a waste transfer station and/or treatment processing plant; Ability to apply chemical theory to good industrial practice; Good working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
