Position: HGV Mechanic Location: Solihull Hours: Monday - Friday 10am-8pm (flexible by an hour either way) & every other Saturday 6am-12pm Shift: day shift / 45 hours per week Salary: £13-£14 per hour Benefits: 22 days hols & bank holidays Overtime: Plenty available Are you ready to join a friendly team in a successful and expanding transport operation? Are you ready to learn new skills to progress your career? This post is open to all levels of experience. Job Role - Based in a busy workshop environment equipped with great facilities. You will be assisting with all levels of maintenance, repairs and major overhauls as well as completing standard servicing and diagnostics Working on own fleet of HGV's - DAF, Mercs, Volvo and Renault and a range of Trailers (some very bespoke) - Occasional off-site work - Some FLT and plant repairs and inspections including pre LOLER checks - Completion of paperwork to high standards - Some welding and fabrication (training provided if required) Essential Requirements - Qualified to City and Guilds Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) - Own tools - Willing to work flexible hours between 6am-8pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday 6am-12pm (45 hours per week) Desirable Attributes - IRTE for Truck and Trailers - Experience of hydraulics and electrics
