Technical Support Lead- Global eCommerce Description We are Pearson Marketing Cloud We build and run the brand new, global platform for web content and eCommerce for Pearson, using the latest enterprise technologies where Adobe AEM and SAP Hybris Commerce play a key role. Job Description The Support & CI team is responsible for interfacing with both business stakeholders and with the 3rd party service provider. The role oversees areas associated with the business process and has the technical knowledge required for successful support and day to day operations of the suite of applications across Pearson Marketing Cloud. The right person will be a high­ performing, hands-on technical lead with experience with eCommerce and/or CMS large scale implementations. We are looking for someone who can bring technical gravitas, thought leadership and a passion for technology. Key Responsibilities Quality of service delivery for applications within the portfolio and ensuring the 3rd party provider brings the appropriate technical oversight and problem resolution for those applications. Supporting demand planning for any changes or enhancements to applications, including providing input regarding technical solutions in with due regard to business need, return on investment (ROI) and priority for any changes or enhancements to applications, taking account of the lifecycle stage of the application. Ensuring any changes or enhancements being performed by the service provider are adhering to agreed schedule, budget and resource parameters. Anticipating operational needs; business and regional drivers and building collaborative relationships to manage issues and escalations. Ensuring the identification of key technical risks, issues and optimization opportunities and helps ensure budgets, benefits and committed dates are met and systematically captured and analyzed through hands on involvement. Strong focus on the high quality throughout the entire process, working closely with the Quality Assurance stream Collaborate with Technical Lead, Solutions Architects and Enterprise Architects for aspects related to integration with other systems In case of major incidents, ability to quickly analyse and determine impacted areas with hands-on investigations of application logs, browser console & data Pearson is an equal opportunities employer. Qualifications Skills & Abilities 8 years industry experience Ability to perform efficiently within a high pressure, fast-paced environment working with teams across multiple countries Experience with the deployment of complex eCommerce and/or web-content management solutions. Specific knowledge of hybris and Adobe AEM is a big plus. Excellent collaboration skills across Development and Operations and with all other stakeholders. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain working relationships with a diverse community of technology and business partners and effectively influence both technical and non-technical audiences. Established track record of designing and developing simple solutions to complex problems. Experience with cloud hosted application monitoring tools such as New Relic, Zabbix, Kibana. Excellent understanding of object oriented programming, relational databases, complex integration landscapes Significant experience with current coding/scripting skills (One or more of python, java, ruby, perl, php, .net). Experience with cloud hosted application monitoring tools such as New Relic, Zabbix, Kibana. Experience integrating with cloud hosting providers such as AWS. Experience with multiple approaches to data storage (relational, non-­relational, graph) with a variety of technologies (i.e. Oracle, MongoDB, CouchDB, Memcached, Redis). Experience coaching and mentoring technology talent.
