Marketing & Communications Assistant

Position: Marketing & Communications Assistant - 6-month full-time contract in an international environment Salary: £18,000 - £20,000 - Dependent upon experience Location: Trowbridge Description: Our client is a leading international development consulting firm. They provide technical assistance and management consultancy in the areas of markets, enterprise and trade; agriculture, fisheries, food security and nutrition; natural resource management and climate change; policy, dialogue, regional integration and governance. Responsibilities: Writing content for the client's corporate communications Proofing and checking communications materials Drafting and posting content on the clients' website and social media channels Ensuring branded materials adhere to visibility guidelines Sourcing costs from external suppliers - for example printers Assisting with background research for communications strategy development Providing communications support to company divisions as required Assisting with monitoring and evaluating effectiveness of marketing activities Providing administrative support on projects Helping prepare proposals for new projects Required Skills: Fluent in written and spoken English - Essential Aptitude for writing and proof reading in English - Essential Excellent Organisational skills - able to manage time well, multitask and prioritise - Essential Basic design skills using Adobe InDesign - Desirable Experience: Writing, editing and proof-reading - Essential Using social media as a promotional tool - Essential Developing basic layouts using Adobe InDesign - Desirable Liaising with external suppliers - for example printers or graphic designers - Desirable Tracking and evaluating effectiveness of communications materials using Google Analytics - Desirable A keen interest in Marketing and communications is essential.
