Epson is seeking to recruit a strategic and methodical Product Manager to support our Visual Instruments (VI) business unit. Reporting in to the Manager, Product Management (VI), you will be responsible for our business VI, Hardware and projector display accessory product offering. You will build comprehensive knowledge of the market place and customer values for both existing and new products to drive future product planning to grow the business. You will focus on the product planning stage of the product life-cycle, working closely with our Head office in Japan. This role is based out of our Sales and Marketing Office, in Hemel Hempstead, Herts with travel across EMEAR. Key Responsibilities: Technology Have a good knowledge and understanding of key Epson technologies and those of competitors. In addition, the Product Manager should understand key technologies in the IT market and future trends Knowledge and skill set to technically evaluate products/competitors within popular IT environments (Different OS/Software) and present findings clearly Product Planning Track the price, features and value propositions of key competitors with a segmented approach working with other stakeholders and customers as required. Use this information and technology developments as inputs to plan future product(s) In conjunction with Seiko Epson Corporation, from the product's differentiation identify the Customer Value (benefits) of the product to be launched via creating the product value propositions Market Working with the Market Research team, use external and internal data sources to build the correct segmented market sizing and trend view for business and product planning Customer Working with the Market Research team and stakeholders, gain an insight and understanding of the customer profile for the allocated product (s). The understanding will include the market segment and resulting 'customer value' to ensure a correct understanding of the customer requirements Scenario Planning Assist the Manager of Product Managers to propose future volume, revenue and profit plans based on knowledge of the market and group of products Communication In conjunction with Seiko Epson Corporation, from the product's differentiation identify the Customer Value (benefits) of the product to be launched Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Applications are welcomed from: Product Manager, Assistant Product Manager, Product Marketing Manager, Product Marketing Assistant Manager, Product Management Assistant Graduate calibre with a technology or marketing background Good understanding of the full product management life cycle Good communication skills including presentation skills Analytic and questioning manner with the ability to make sense of data Very good Excel knowledge and general IT knowledge (PC and Mobile OS's, Network) Speaking more than one European language will be valued Epson makes products for a wide range of customers and we are committed to having a diverse workforce.
