About The Role We have an exciting opportunity within the Product Performance team for a Product Manager – Savings for a period of maternity cover. You’ll be leading a team to help achieve the Society’s savings objectives, in this fast-paced and every changing competitive environment, influencing the ongoing success of the Society You’ll be responsible for delivering all savings product launches/closures, communicating the changes both internally and externally,while ensuring all agreed products/product changes are launched accurately,within the agreed timescales and done so in accordance with the necessary governance. You’ll be responsible for the ongoing monitoring of competitors’ products/rates/propositions, ensuring the information is disseminated around the Product team (and wider teams where appropriate) in a timely and concise manner, linking this to CBS’ own proposition and performance. You’ll develop product variation proposals to be presented at Product Approval Group, backed up by detailed analysis and sound reasoning,ensuring that the Society offers an appropriate product range, to both frontand back book markets, ensuring good customer outcomes, while delivering the agreed volume and income targets. You’ll deputise for Senior Product Manager at Product Approval Group to gain approval from the Society’s Senior Leadership for proposed rotations. About You You’ll be a confident individual with excellent communication skills, able to deliver simple but engaging communications both verbally and written, in order to gain buy-in to proposals.Your ability to create a strong network of colleagues across the organisation is imperative in order to ensure you have a complete picture. You must be able to make decisions and work to tight deadlines due to the fast-paced nature of the markets we operate in. A proven ability to interpret all data available, whether qualitative or quantitative is important as is challenging data and pre-conceived ideas/processes. You must have experience of management and leading high performing teams, being fully committed to the personal development of each of your team members.
