Their team of 40 is a unique mix - they pride themselves on finding the best people from PR & communications, digital, post-production, and live TV programme-making. From their two offices in Elstree and Soho, their services include global media relations, live broadcasts & streaming, branded content creation, event & sponsorship activation, and social media & digital development. JOB DESCRIPTION The business is looking for an ambitious Media Relations Executive to support the PR team across a number of high-profile clients spanning a broad range of sectors including lifestyle, automotive, technology, corporate comms and entertainment. Based in both their Elstree and Soho locations, the role would suit someone with 1-2 years’ prior work experience in a media relations-focused PR agency role, who has a keen interest in the global media landscape, and solid understanding of what makes a good news story or shareable piece of editorial news content. Assist with all media sell-ins and gain coverage for their clients, both in the UK and in global markets, via proactive outreach on phone and email. Build strong relationships with media contacts in both the UK and globally. Support the team on admin tasks including taking meeting notes and agendas, compiling media target lists, updating media contact databases, and monitoring and collating coverage reports. Draft press releases, media advisories, and client updates. Update coverage reports and news stories on the Global Media Centre (GMC). Monitor and stay informed of relevant PR industry & global media industry news. Provide a supporting role for senior members of the team (including Production teams) when required. WHO FITS THE BILL Candidates should be team players and self-starters who take initiative, have excellent communication and organisational skills, and are reliable enough to provide a solid support for all project work - which is usually fast paced, varied, and sometimes challenging. Candidates who are bilingual are also of great interest, if you speak any of the folliowing fluently, please apply French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Mandarin Up to 1 years’ experience in a global broadcast media relations-focussed role. An existing network of media contacts, including global broadcast media. Degree level educated (preferably English or PR / Media / Marketing degree). Fluency in language(s) other than English. Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written. Excellent attention to detail. Keen interest in news & current affairs. Knowledge of Google Docs and MS Office, as well as databases such as Gorkana. Ability to undertake assigned tasks both as part of a team as well as independently DESIRABLE SKILLS Understanding of video production terminology and processes. Knowledge of social media platforms and relevant content types.
