Overview

Technical QA - Pensions The Money and Pensions Service vision is everyone making the most of their money and pensions. This new organisation brings together the free services delivered by the Money Advice Service, The Pensions Advisory Service and Pension Wise. We are an Arms-Length organisation, sponsored by the Department for Work and Pensions, with a joint commitment to ensuring that people have access and guidance to the information they need to make effective financial decisions over their lifetime. The organisation will also engage with HM Treasury, which is responsible for policy on financial capability and debt advice. Working hand-in-hand with stakeholders throughout the UK, the Money and Pensions Service will ensure that money and pensions guidance is available to those that need it, adapting to people's changing needs throughout their lives. To contribute to the wider work of the editorial team, creating and optimising content across multiple channels, ensuring that our customers have access to the best information and guidance possible to meet their needs and to fulfil the organisational aims of both the National Strategy for financial wellbeing and the successful delivery of the MaPS corporate strategy. Key Accountabilities Working with colleagues and Strategy partners, SMEs, stakeholders and advocates to create compelling copy across multi-channels (desktop, mobile, video, social media, printed guide) in an authentic voice that resonates with our target audience, driving actions and engagement to ultimately change customer behaviour towards increased financial capability and confidence. Contribute towards the support for appropriate social media opportunities such as on-line discussion forums, groups and blogs that meet customer needs and progress the aims of the Strategy Ensuring brand and style guides and templates are adhered to Work with external translators to ensure that content is translated into Welsh and uploaded into the CMS in line with English content. Write compelling and engaging B2C money guidance content for our Partners in bespoke tone and style Carrying out core content optimisation work, co-ordinating, prioritising and planning to ensure consistent delivery against the content development roadmap using content design approaches, A/B testing, user testing and other tools and sources of insight. Implementing the agreed content strategy, web strategy and SEO strategy and plans and evaluating and acting upon results. Understanding and optimising the web architecture, supporting technologies and content structure, ensuring effective and engaging customer journeys. Monitoring and reporting on audience behaviour and interest trends; ability to identify and escalate common 'hot-button' issues, complaints or praise from our customers. Ensuring that usage rights are followed across platforms and markets and any technical issues are addressed. Experience and expertise: Essential Proven expertise of successful written communications with an excellent journalistic style of writing, strong editorial judgment and the ability to convey a complex message in a concise way. Proven expertise in developing and executing consumer facing content across all platforms. A deep understanding of content design principles. Solid experience of web technologies, CMS publishing systems, current trends and web standards. Experience of Search engine optimisation (SEO), Google analytics/AEM analytics and social media monitoring tools. Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy at all times and proven ability to search optimise own and others' copy with Good knowledge of financial topics as they affect consumers and an alertness to broader issues in the media that might have financial implications for consumers. Desirable An understanding of financial capability and the part it plays in improving people's ability to manage their money day to day and in the long term. Ability to carry out testing for new products or changes as required.
