Senior Buyer: Infrastructure Subcontracts (Procurement) Multinational Construction Giant Lincoln £45-50k 5k Car Allowance Benefits Due to the company gaining exciting new contracts, an excellent opportunity has arisen with one of our biggest clients in the UK to join their team in Lincoln as a Senior Buyer. The role is with one of the most recognisable names in the country within the construction space and will involve working on one of their most important and crucial contacts. The successful individual can expect to be taking a lead on the end to end procurement management and sourcing of subcontracts, materials and equipment crucial to this substantial infrastructure project. The key responsibilities of this role include: Devising and implementing procurement strategy, acting both as a standalone expert within the allotted categories but also as part of the wider business unit Foster a community culture and collaborative approach with the customer and internal teams by exercising excellent stakeholder management skills Running the full end to end procurement process, including preparing tenders and onboarding new suppliers all whilst carrying out due diligence Auditing supplier performance to ensure contractual requirements are met, achieving significant value for money and the highest possible levels of service The successful candidate will be able to display: Previous senior experience (minimum 5 years) within procurement and supply chain, preferably within a construction, engineering or similar setting Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the end to end procurement process Strong academic track record, degree educated and CIPS qualified (desirable) Examples of strong stakeholder management and supplier management skills This role would perfectly suit an experienced procurement professional looking to take the next step in their career by joining a multinational company which offers great opportunities for career progression, and a huge amount of responsibility from the get-go.
