PURPOSE OF ROLE: Due to fantastic growth, we are actively on the hunt for an experienced Developer who can offer an end-to-end service across website and application development. You'll enjoy a varied role, one day you could be debugging issues or resolving technical hitches, and responding to client requests, and the next you'll be developing new websites, and continually keeping abreast of the client proposition. In this new role of Website Developer, you’ll be working alongside 16 (and counting) experts in the marketing industry. With specialists in SEO, digital marketing, website development, social media, and more, our services practically sell themselves. We’re passionate about each and every one of our clients and their businesses, and the world of SEO and digital, and we’re looking for someone who feels the same. KEY RESPONSIBILITES: Back up websites Upload/transfer websites Plugin/CMS platform updates Knowledge of coding and debugging Network knowledge ideal (domains, servers, emails) Collaborate with Front-end developers Define and communicate technical requirements (functionality specs) Willingness to share knowledge and support to other team members Build high-quality reusable code that can be used in the future Troubleshoot and debug applications Learn about new technologies Stay up to date with current best practices Conduct speed tests and optimise performance Collaborate with team of designers and junior developers Participate in conferences and educational programs Follow new and emerging technologies PERSON SPECIFICATION: In-depth understanding of web development 12 months of experience with programming languages like Java, PHP (Ruby and Python nice to have but not essential) 2 years of experience with CMS frameworks such as WordPress and Magento Experience with front-end languages such as HTML, JavaScript and CSS Critical thinker and problem-solving skills Team player Good organisational and time-management skills Great interpersonal and communication skills HOURS OF WORK: Monday - Friday 8.30am till 5.30pm SALARY: Competitive, Dependent on Experience HOLIDAY: 20 days plus bank holidays BENEFITS: Pension Private Healthcare Fun, motivated, determined company culture Regular team building and company social events Beautiful environment (with unlimited pick n mix, pool table, and Xbox) Friday afternoon freedom - a whole afternoon each week dedicated to self-development Free parking Onsite restaurant Free access to onsite gym Onsite beauty room Exciting progression and training Office Puppy
