Overview
As the Social Media & Email Marketing Manager you will be responsible for driving sales and increasing customer retention through our social media and email marketing channels. You will have sole responsibility for creating effective strategies for both organic and paid campaigns. You will need extensive knowledge and experience of Facebook Ads and Twitter Ads as well as familiarity with other paid channels such as Instagram and LinkedIn. You will be responsible for defining a company-wide social media strategy to drive brand awareness, increase sales and improve numbers of Likes and Follows on each social media channel. You will also be responsible for managing the email marketing side of the business. This will involve sending regular emails to 10s of thousands of customers and cultivating new customer lists. Your duties will involve: Formulating co-ordinated strategies to maximise sales across the various social media and email marketing channels. Increasing Likes / Follows etc. by posting regularly on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest and other social media. Working with the company designer to create engaging and interesting social media content. Managing budgets to maximise sales via paid social media campaigns. Increasing sales by sending targeted mass emails to 10s of thousands of customers. This may require liaising with the IT department to create suitable email lists. Using analytical software and social media dashboards to create useful reports for the marketing manager highlighting trends in sales / customer retention. You’ll need the following: 3-5 years of experience in managing social media accounts in a corporate environment. 2 years of experience in organising mass email campaigns. Expert knowledge of Facebook in a business context. Must have detailed knowledge of running Facebook Ads using demographic filtering and remarketing etc. Excellent communication skills and a high standard of written British English. A passion for creating engaging and useful content. A commitment to keeping your technical skills and knowledge up to date. A good understanding of the wider marketing context. Strong analytical skills and an excellent knowledge of analytics dashboards and packages such as GoogleAnalytics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere. High levels of autonomy and self-motivation. About the company At Marks Electrical, we have been selling the best of home appliances and televisions to the public since 1987. We stand today as an independent elite retailer and one of the largest members of the buying group Euronics. We pride ourselves on our achievements and the accolades we've been honoured to accept, including Best Website at the IER Awards (for our main appliance website). We have recently started selling fitted kitchens in addition to appliances and we have a dedicated website for this. We've moved our showroom away from the hustle and bustle of the city traffic in Leicester and put it at the heart of our Boston Road headquarters, near Beaumont Shopping Centre. Our 12,000 sq. ft. site is now the centre of operations and holds over 5,000 products, with the latest technologies proudly displayed in-store. The showroom includes a dedicated Miele centre, which is thought to be the biggest display of the manufacturer's goods in the Midlands. There's also a state-of-the-art television area, with TVs all the way up to 8K displaying dazzling images. We also have some of our fitted kitchens on display to give people a taste of that side of the business. Contract This job begins as a one-year contract. After which, if performance is satisfactory, it will convert to a permanent position.
