Overview

Manage the Product Lifecycle of Beautiful Products. Develop Premium Ranges. Central Bath Location. Here is a rare opportunity to join a high end creative business in Bath as their new Group Product Development Manager. Working with some exceptional products, brands and licenses across a number of business units, you will use market/competitor insight to ensure the right products are being delivered, at the right time, and at the right price. You will work with cross functional teams to manage the product lifecycle, and ensure products are delivered to market at key times. The successful candidate is likely to come from a product management or category management background. What you'll be doing The group is currently responsible for around 7,000 new product designs (SKUs) each year, but don’t worry, you won’t be responsible for each and every one, and there are strong teams and processes already in place. It all starts with your understanding of the market, showing insight in to your customer’s needs and staying abreast of the competitor landscape. You will be responsible for supporting the product plan and delivery throughout the product lifecycle, and working closely with the internal stakeholders and heads of departments, you will deliver products that align with the company brand/vision to meet market needs, whilst maintaining the highest quality standards. This is a pivotal role to the business and working with internal and external stakeholders, you will help develop the new product planning calendar, look at margin control, range reviews, product matrixes and requirements, product positioning, product timelines and ensure the products delivered are innovative and best in class. This is a highly commercial role where you will report on range successes, and will gather feedback from users, buyers and sellers of the products to make informed decisions/proposals for future products and ranges. What experience you'll need to apply Strong experience within product management Have previously worked within an FMCG based environment Good understanding of design, branding, merchandising and marketing Exceptional communication skills Highly commercial and numerate Ability to work under pressure, manage a critical path and hit deadlines Must have a full driving license with the ability to travel to occasional trade shows What you'll get in return for your talents This is a role where will work with exceptional, premium, and beautiful products, and will utilise a number of teams and resources to help deliver these to market.
