Programme Manager - Creative People and Places (CPP) - Flux Capacitor Rotherham £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, full-time fixed-term until 31st October 2023 Creative People and Places is about more people choosing, creating and taking part in brilliant art experiences in the places where they live. Funded by Arts Council England, there are 21 independent projects based in areas where there are fewer opportunities to get involved with the arts. Rotherham has a £2 million grant to deliver Creative People and Places through a project called "Flux Capacitor". This is an action-research programme designed to deliver lasting impact on Rotherham communities’ participation in arts and culture, testing a new delivery model, bringing change, and contributing to the CPP network and wider sectors learning. The programme will transform local people’s involvement in leading and shaping relevant cultural provision. It will also prepare and position Rotherham to deliver the unique Children’s Capital of Culture in 2025 as a critical milestone in realising the ambitions set out in our Cultural Strategy and 10-year vision for arts and culture. Flux Capacitor is a partnership project with a consortium board made up of Voluntary Action Rotherham as the lead, with Rotherham Ethnic Minority Alliance, Rotherham Open Arts Renaissance, Grimm & Co, Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust, Rotherham Council’s Culture Sport and Tourism Department. We are seeking a Programme Manager to lead the delivery of our work and to make a real difference for Rotherham people across the next four years. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator with a passion for community engagement with people of all backgrounds, interests and levels of access. You will: have a creative leadership style and be an enabler of others. provide strong, ambitious and imaginative leadership needed to deliver Flux Capacitor. have experience in developing and managing teams, setting strategy, managing budgets lead strategy and address the detail in a small team focused on delivery. believe passionately in the value of art and culture in people’s lives and want to make a difference.
