Business Development Manager Location: field based, Chelmsford area covering: Cambridge, Ipswich, Canterbury, Norwich - periodic travel to our Head Office in Maidenhead Benefits: Car allowance, contributory pension scheme, annual health payment benefit and Share Options Our business is growing, so is our opportunity. I’m looking for an ambitious, results-focused Business Development Manager who can take an outstanding proposition pitch to top-end customers and really make an impact. We’re the leaders in our field - not just in the UK but abroad. That comes from looking to properly understand and align with our target customer’s needs - and then requiring very high standards across everything we do. You’ll have a territory - and be expected to know every key prospect in that territory; you’ll also have sector responsibilities - to know those moving up and those sliding down in particular industries. You’ll work that knowledge - and the peer references - to open doors; telesales, appointment making (we have telesales support, but I expect BDM’s to own the whole process), presenting (planned, appropriate, structured) and clinching deals. You will be involved in key account deals - owning most, supported by Directors as needed - promotional activity - conferences, exhibitions, supplier events, networking (not many but key). And you’ll be part of the team setting the standard in our industry - for professional sales just as much as fixing cookers and fridges.
