Web Editor - 3 Months - Milton Keynes - £35 per hour Inside IR35 We are seeking a Senior Website Content and digital Experience Officer for our client based in Milton Keynes. This is an initial 3 month contract paying up to £35 per hour Inside IR35. This role is inside IR35- Due to the service of the role this will now be based on an Umbrella solution on a PAYE basis . Role Profile: MUST have CMS and Accessibility tools experience Assisting in developing corporate strategy and procedures in relation to their online presence via the website to ensure the council maximises opportunities of digital innovation and complies with statutory obligations Implementing strategy and procedure in relation to the website through developing action plans to include training, communications and monitoring activities Initiating and Project Managing website development projects in line with Milton Keynes Councils preferred methodology to project delivery. Maintaining up to date professional knowledge of legislation and best practice relating to website development including Digital by Default, SOCITM Better Connected, Disability Discrimination Act, Data Protection Act, EU Accessibility Standards, GDPR, ePrivacy and ensuring all policies are updated to reflect relevant changes to legislation Write and edit content with specific purposes for different target audiences, using appropriate techniques (such as inverted Pyramid) to ensure information needs are met. To utilise other communications techniques such as editing and authorising the use of video, graphics and animation. Develop and deliver corporate training for the website and intranet to ensure web authors are aware of branding, best practice and statutory obligations.
