Overview
Product Manager based in West London: This luxury tour operator offers high-quality minibuses to take you to the heart of many destinations. From charming New England to sun-baked Essaouira, and from sea-swept Dingle across to majestic Moscow, connecting with the culture, cuisine and history of the fascinating places visited on their award-winning tours. International travel will be required for this role. Product Manager Responsibilities: Commercial Responsible for the commercial and operational success of the product and programme. Ensuring the availability of comprehensive and accurate costings that enable clear pricing. Ensuring the product is effectively scheduled and costed to fulfil company commercial vision. Develop strategic relationships with suppliers and destination management companies to ensure BRT has access to the best services at the best rates. Negotiate and contract rates and services with suppliers in order to drive a reduction in cost of goods. Set and monitor the capacity status of trips and perform regular yield management. Product Development Design, implementation and development of group touring products based on client research, market analysis. Ensuring their USPs are fulfilled and that each tour has a clear product differentiation and identity in a crowded marketplace. Research and analyse current and potential product opportunities, including viability scoping of new operations with a view to the development and launch of new tours. Ensure product is developed in accordance with their crisis management, health and safety and responsible travel. Ensure product, along with appropriate training material and operational guide, is delivered within specified time frames. Working closely with Sales and Marketing teams to bring product to market in a timely manner. Visit key destinations and suppliers in order to achieve product and commercial outcomes. Ensure reporting is delivered in an accurate and timely manner to senior management. Support the GM and Head of Product in the development and fulfilment of process improvement and simplification. · Collate and provide product information required to maximise customer satisfaction and sales. People Management Build good working relationships within their product team, working with the Head of Product and Product Executives to develop a positive team culture. Encourage the personal and professional development of each Product Executive by identifying goals, learning opportunities and areas for development. Hold regular 1-on-1s with each Product Executive and providing regular, open feedback. Record employee discussion, including goals, KPIs, Incentives, further study and achievements in the designated system. In conjunction with Head of Product conduct Product Executives' yearly appraisals and 6-month probation reviews. Participate in the creation of team objectives aligned to overall Global Touring business strategy. Product Manager Requirements: Well-travelled in the Europe, North America or Asia with a deep understanding of the UK inbound industry. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the small group touring market and competitive environment. Demonstrable successful experience in planning, contracting, costing and operationalising a programme of tours. Experience collaborating with hotels and DMCs, preferably with their current suppliers. Confident, persuasive and goal-oriented individual with a desire to drive the product forward to achieve strategic and personal goals. Commercial awareness with strong negotiation skills, preferably with prior professional experience in a purchasing or contracting role. Results driven with the ability to identify appropriate product to support ongoing company growth. Experience reviewing, monitoring and evaluating contract performance and costs. Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with an ability to gather, analyse and interpret product & travel data and confidently make data-driven decisions. Highly numerate with extensive experience with Microsoft Excel. People management skills with experience in mentoring and developing direct reports. A valid UK visa or European passport. A valid UK or European driving license is advantageous, as are European language skills (particularly Portuguese, Spanish or Italian).
