Graphic Designer / Artworker - Agency

Our client is an exciting design and communications agency that works with some of the UK’s most recognisable brands. Specialising in the employment sector, their large team consults on and delivers integrated creative solutions across all media for an array of leading Private and Public Sector businesses. As part of their expansion plans they are looking for a graphic designer / artworker to join their creative team. Graphic Designer Our Ideal Candidate: You will be a Graphic Designer with some experience from either an inhouse department or design agency and have the ability to make amends, typeset, layout, re-touching, manipulate images and more. You will also be used to creating for Powerpoint as well as print / Web and be interested in working within a large corporation. Creative Designer Responsibilities; Primary purposes of the role: • Artwork for client communication projects across a variety of media • Amend documents, files and artwork provided by senior members of the Creative team, Projects or Strategic Consultants. • Typeset brochures, booklets, newsletters and other collateral using content provided • Prepare presentations, documents ready for print and supply assets for digital work • Page layout, re-touching, image manipulation and setting up of design templates Key responsibilities: • Artwork/amend new and ongoing creative projects with the design team for both print and online media for client communication projects • Work with the digital designers/web developers to provide final artwork for client websites • Work with senior members of the team to help develop and implement product development for new communications products through various types of media both on and off line • Ensure quality and consistency in the finished product for typeset artwork. This includes imagery and colour palette that is compliant with the brand guidelines supplied • Adhere to the established artwork filing structure on the company network in order to ensure files are correctly labelled and accessible • Help and support with the production of presentation and pitch material • Assist in the sales and marketing requirements of the team Artworker Required Skills: Demonstrable working expertise in the following design software: - Adobe Creative Suite - In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat - Microsoft software including PowerPoint, Word and Excel Experience, qualifications and key skills: Essential • A higher qualification (HND or Degree) in design or other relevant subject • Minimum of 3 years’ design / artworking experience • A demonstrable skill level in Mac Operation, design and communications • Precise typography and layout skills • Strong working knowledge of interactive PDF’s • Understanding of the print production process (set-up, finishes etc.) • Close attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and quality of document presentation • A willingness to receive creative direction and respond positively to constructive feedback • Excellent organisational and communication skills - at all levels • Self-motivated and enthusiastic - ability to work to tight deadlines, with minor or no supervision • A logical / practical approach to problem solving • The ability and experience to handle multiple jobs under pressure Desirable (not essential but chance to learn): • Video Editing and production • HTML and E-Shot build experience • Working knowledge of Sketch • Prototyping and design for web What’s in it for you apart from an amazing job opportunity?
