Front End and Back End Designer City of London Permanent £65,000 per annum - plus excellent bonuses and benefits Based in beautiful offices in the heart of the City of London just by Liverpool Street station, our client is a highly prestigious and market-leading global asset management company, and they are currently looking for a talented Senior UX/UI Designer to join their team on a permanent basis. Working independently, you will design, develop and maintain new and existing websites, including concepts, wireframes, prototypes and implementation of design via the content management system (CMS), in order to create a client-centric online experience. You will maintain and continuously improve visual and user experience design of existing websites. Working collaboratively, you will make sure the design is implemented in a user-friendly and efficient manner and you will partner with content managers throughout the planning and implementation process. Main Responsibilities · Participating in and supporting all facets of the life-cycle of user experience (UX) and web design, including: understanding business needs, information gathering and clarification, research and design, information architecture, drafting and submitting change controls and participating in all levels of testing. Providing consultation and expert advice to management and planning long or short-term UX and web design objectives. Supporting content managers by creating and providing visual content for ongoing initiatives. Providing ongoing UX support to partners of existing content and regular page updates. Actively evaluating current websites and rebrand digital properties within the CMS in accordance with brand direction and style guide. Updating and maintaining the digital style guide and provide appropriate Cascading Style Script (CSS) direction for content managers. Assisting in the design of user interface and appearance of new social media technologies such as blogging platforms. Assisting content team, as necessary, with required content updates via the CMS. Creating digital assets such as banners or promotional images Designing campaign and landing pages Creating templates for standardized pages, digital modules and email (like articles pages) Art Direct all digital pages via CCAT Key Skills and Experience Excellent industry knowledge of the following skills: - Axure or other web prototyping tools - Cross-browser and cross-platform environments, responsive design - CMS platforms, Ingeniux - Basic programming principles, Javascript and JQuery - WordPress or other blogging technologies - Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design tools Professional skills required: - Experience working in or partnering with web development teams - Ability to take ideas from concept to execution with minimal coaching - Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology - Knowledge of current and evolving internet technologies - Experience working on eCommerce platforms is a plus - Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, working across multiple projects simultaneously - Ability to see patterns in repetitive tasks and identify improvements to simplify and streamline - Strong sense of accountability and urgency in meeting tasks Experience in UX and/or digital design Experience working with CMS platforms Experience with CSS, HTML and/or other web programming technologies Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a related discipline e.g. Computer Science with specialty in User Interface Design, Graphical Design or equivalent Experience in asset management/financial services industry is a plus Industry knowledge of the following programmes are essential: Sketch InVision Zeppelin Creative Suite - mostly photoshop and illustrator Please see as follows further information on the role, daily responsibilities, and overview of the role: Design campaign and landing pages Create templates for standardized pages, digital modules and email (like articles pages) Art Direct all digital pages via CCAT Create digital assets like banners or promo images Upcoming: Lauren will collect more data and have that influence design.
