You will be based at their state of the art facilities within converted farm buildings that sit within the heart of the beautiful Lancashire countryside, in the North West of England. Geographically close to the Blue Flag beaches and prestigious postcode of Lytham St Annes. To help the business continue their rapid strategically planned expansion, and reporting directly to the CEO, they are seeking an experienced Operations Director to join their highly skilled team and successfully deliver their expansion plans within their growing business operations and expanding personnel. Working closely with the Board the role is that of 'Director designate.’ Skills and Qualifications • In depth knowledge of the CGI and Visual Effects industry preferred but NOT essential. As an ideal candidate, you have proven Senior Management experience in a highly dynamic setting. You will have a full understanding of the creative and technical processes within this industry or similar. As a preferred candidate, you will have a proven track record of delivering a highly successful growth plan at Operational Management/Director level for SME from approx. 50 to 100 personnel minimum or more, perhaps within Manufacturing or Engineering sector, with accountability and with excellence of strategies. In depth knowledge of the CGI and Visual Effects industry Preferred but NOT essential. • Proven 'hands on’ experience of developing operational and technical capability in an SME environment. • Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, technical production, and employee management. • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity. • Along with the Finance team, budgetary management and timely reporting of the Studio performance to P&L accountability. • Definition and consolidation of the Operations Performance Indicators (Budget, Investments, Expenses) and follow up of any associated financial reporting. • Along with the IT Team, budgetary responsibility for development, infrastructure and maintenance. Objectives of this Role • Collaborate with executive-level management in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans. • Lead motivate and support Studio staff in the next phase of growth of the business. • Analyse current Operational processes and performance recommending solutions for improvement when necessary. • Work with Head of Production, Sales, IT and Marketing Team in the development of financial and budgetary plans. • Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration. • Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity with accountability. • Analyse current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement when necessary. Responsibilities include • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility of goals, progress, and obstacles for our key initiatives. • Build and maintain relationships with all department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals. • Plan, monitor, and analyse key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks. • Devise strategies to ensure growth of programs enterprise-wide, identifying and implementing process improvements that will maximize output and minimize costs. • Uphold organization policies and standards, ensuring legislative regulations are followed. • Work closely with human resources to lead team with integrity and establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment. • Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands. • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legislative guidelines. Salary from within VFX/CGi industry £80k - £110K (Outside of industry £60K - £80K) Monday to Friday - Full Time Permanent Role 25 days annual leave Bank Holidays Private Pension scheme - 3% of salary Car Allowance, Laptop, Mobile We would consider a con
