Job Description

We're looking for a Community + Operations Manager to join our team to help shape, grow, and manage our community, in addition to providing support to our portfolio companies. The Operations Manager will report directly to the Managing Director of Supernode and will be collaborating with the entire firm. This role will contribute to a thriving media-tech ecosystem and help members of Supernode succeed by providing support, facilitating connections, sharing expertise and more. This is a hands-on role with an opportunity to shape your own path within a small team. Responsibilities include * Help with creating a Community Strategy and actively execute it * Assist with creating a scalable operational framework * Build relationships with community members and foster knowledge exchange between members * Manage communications and requests from members of the community * Engage and support our members through online and offline channels * Source relevant content and partnerships * Be an integral part of our team, collaborating with team members to drive initiatives * Research resources and find the best value adds to support members of Supernode * Continually look to improve our community platform, also by benchmarking it with others * Actively build relationships with partners to create the best support and advisor network * Support portfolio companies with operational needs * Support marketing and event activities * Assist with special initiatives as and when they come up * Provide regular reporting on community engagement and perform user research on how we can improve the user experience Desired qualities * A natural connector with strong interpersonal skills * A team player and able to work in a self-directed manner with a sense of urgency * A 'roll up your sleeves' mentality and a 'can do' attitude * Highly organised and comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment * Goal-orientated but flexible in their approach * Ability to grasp both big picture thinking and also remain detail-orientated * Results-driven with bias for action and commitment to excellence * Thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment of constant change * Someone entrepreneurial, with the ability to take the initiative * Strong EQ and stakeholder management capabilities * Demonstrated passion for efficiency, organization, and hard work Requirements * 7+ years of professional experience in operations, community building / management, chief of staff, project management or a similar role * Exposure to startups and demonstrable interest in media/entertainment/technology * At least two years prior community / platform / operations experience at a VC is a strong plus
